Top Ten Tuesday: TBR for the Fall!

What to read next! I have this issue all the time. I can never decide what book to read after I've finished one. Usually I try to narrow it down to make the decision easier, but it's never a walk in the park.

However, I still have this lengthy book list that I want to get to for the Fall. Some books have been on there for a while, some books I am just determined to tackle in the coming months. I'm looking forward to doing so! So here we are, ten books that are on the list that seriously need to be taken off...

  1. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
  2. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
  3. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
  4. Riptide by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
  5. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
  6. Persuasion by Jane Austen
  7. Tales of Beedle the Bard by J. K. Rowling
  8. Death in the City of Light by David King
  9. Vixen by Jillian Larkin
  10. Timeline by Michael Crichton
Honestly, this doesn't even BEGIN to cover my to-read list. I don't even keep one on my Goodreads because I'm terrified of how out of control i will get. Honestly, I don't know if I could handle that...

Any titles you're looking forward to getting through in the Fall? Strategies to tackle that to be read list? Feeling confident? Tell me!

  1. Nice list! :) You should definitely finish the Hunger Games series, it's one of my favorites! City of Bones is something I really want to read as well.

  2. Great stuff! "Timeline" is a fun mix of historical fiction and a science fiction thriller. I must confess to liking The DaVinci Code...and anything Harry Potter related is bound to be a treat. :)

  4. Looks like you have a very eclectic reading list. Persuasion is one of my favorite books. Will this be your first time or a reread?

  5. Eep I really need to read Jane Eyre too! I bought it a couple of years ago and have just not gotten around to it yet! It's good to see someone else hasn't read it yet either.

  6. Thank you everyone for your comments!

@ Anne - This will be my first time. I am a huge fan of Jane Austen, so I already have a good feeling about loving it!

  7. There are so many good reads on this list!

My favorite would have to be Catching Fire.

Btw, if you haven't read Angels and Demons I would recommend you read it first. It is much better than The Da Vinci Code, imo.

  8. I loved reading Tales of Beedle the Bard - though I must confess, anything related to Harry Potter makes me literally squeal!! Hope you like it! You should actually read Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them too - it's filled with funny scribbles that the trio did when bored in class!
    Nice list!

  10. Oh, nice list! Most of it sounds quick and exciting! I've only ever read on story from Beadles the Bard...when I was shopping and took a few minutes to browse through the book. Have fun!:)

  11. Great combination of classics and pop fiction on your list! I love Bronte and Austen as much as the next gal, but I do have to say that Crichton's Timeline is one of my very favorite lazy day reads. And Catching Fire might be my favorite of the Hunger Games trilogy. Looks like you have some super reading ahead of you-- enjoy it!

  12. @ Rie - I'm already read 'Angels and Demons' as it is the first Robert Langdon book. Ron Howard totally screwed up by making that movie second, and I think it screwed up a lot of people who wanted to read the books. I'm so glad I got it right!

    Thanks for the follow!

  16. I hope you enjoy the books! The Hunger Games and The Mortal Instruments series are the only ones I've read from your list, but they're great trilogies (I don't count the fourth TMI book as part of the series, it was awful).
