- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - A huge favorite of mine, I hope I can read it again someday!
- Relic by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child - I read this book a long time ago, and have read the rest of the series. I want to re-read the first one with the mind of a reader I have now.
- The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien - I totally plan on re-reading this next year as a year long challenge. I really do.
- Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling - I love these books, and I read the first one over after completing the series. I want to read over the rest soon.
- The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald - I loved this book, but I read it during college. So while I read it, wrote on it, and loved it, I also fit it in among although insane projects. I want to read it solo.
- The Lord of the Flies by William Golding - Another favorite read during school, and want to read it again.
- Julius Caesar by Shakespeare - I read this when I was incredibly young. I want to read it again just for the sake of reading it as an adult.
- The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde - Yes, I love this book. Yes, I read it only a little while ago. It's just that funny.
- The Island of D. Moreau by H. G. Wells - I read this years ago... really fast. It deserves a better read, yes?
- A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle - I love Holmes, but I read this book fast. I really don't remember half of it, which is pretty sad. I need to read it again.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Want To Reread
So with my to-read list as long as my arm, it's not exactly within my person to re-read one of my favorite books again. It's hard to dive into a book for the second time when you want to read something new. But for now, I'll give a good shout out to those books that, if ever given the chance, I'd read for again.

I'm seeing P&P on a lot of lists. It's on mine too.
ReplyDeleteI've read The Great Gatsby twice, and I will surely read it again. I don't think I'll ever grow tired of it.
I love listening to anything Austen as an audiobook. The language is so precise and well-crafted that it's a gorgeous treat to hear everything read.
ReplyDeleteThe Eyre Affair is on my list too - I know I'd should love it! I just...didn't when I read it for some reason. And hi! I'm a new follower. :D My list is over here if you'd like to stop by!
I think I'm the only person in the world to absolutely loathe The Great Gatsby. I've had to read it for so many English courses and I just...really can't stand it. I admire you, though, for your love it of. You (and the others who love it!) must get something out of it that I just can't grasp.
ReplyDeleteAt any rate, the rest of the list looks fun - I'd love to have the time to read the Harry Potter series over again. They're such fun books!
I think Harry Potter might be on everyones list lol
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so cute, new follower :)
Here’s my list if you want to visit :)
My "reread list" definitely includes the entire Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, as well as just about everything Jasper Fforde wrote, and Grapes of Wrath. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Pride and Prejudice, but my fave JA is Emma. Some lovely picks here, especially #10, I love Holmes as well :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday,

ReplyDeleteHarry Potter and Pride & Prejudice - such great books! And I'd definitely join in if you were going to do an LOTR reading challenge. It's been a while since I've read the series. :)
