This list is going to be made up of my favorite books that have been published in the past 10 years. I love these books and I hope that in 30 years, new readers, old readers, and the next generations will want to read these stories and enjoy them just as much as I have. I said ‘some‘ in the subject because I want all books to be around in 30 years, so it‘s hard to narrow it down. So below are just a few honorable mentions that I want to be able to pass on from my own, personal library.
P.S. The month is almost over! Time is running out to enter my giveaway! One hardcover, brand-spanking-new copy of Beautiful Days by Ana Godbersen. This is the second novel in her ‘Bright Young Things’ series, and she’s such a wonderful author. Click here to enter the giveaway!
Also, I’m looking for some summer reads suggestions. Leave your favorite YA titles here!
1. The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare - I’m only on the second book but I have that feeling. I had the same feeling when I started Harry Potter, which was that I was pretty much guaranteed to love the series even if I hadn’t gotten too far into it. It’s so magical and witty, I hope that, in time, they will still be people’s favorites.
2. The Infernal Device Series by Cassandra Clare - For the same reason as above.
3. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - I‘m not choosing this series just because it‘s one of my favorites. In the future I think the emotions and the fears will be the same as they are now and this novel will trigger them. It covers a lot of subjects that I think are important for anyone who keeps an open mind.
4. Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling - Simply put, I know this will last decades. Thirty years from now kids will still be waiting for their letters.
That’s really all I have. Sad and short, I know, but it wasn’t something that came easily to me. But these books really made the grade, : )

Great list! It was quite difficult to put this week's top ten, particularly as one has to think about what was published in the last ten years or so, hehe. But it was fun =)
